🤲 Prayers That Unite Us

The Lord’s Prayer / Our Father

Shared by Christians and recognized by Jews and Muslims as a prayer of Jesus (Isa):

“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”

The Shema (Judaism) & Shahada (Islam)

Declaration of God’s Unity:

Shema (Hebrew): “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

Shahada (Arabic): “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger.”

Both declare the fundamental belief in One God that unites our faiths.

Prayers for Peace

A prayer that resonates across all three traditions:

“O God, Creator of all humanity, grant us peace in our hearts, peace in our homes, peace in our communities, and peace in our world. Help us to see Your light in one another, to treat each other with compassion and understanding, and to work together for justice and mercy. Guide us on the path of righteousness and unite us in Your love. Amen.”
